This furoshiki kit is for those of you who love to sew, would love the pattern so that you can make many or would love to gift to someone who is a new
or keen sewer. It includes -
- paper pattern for you to cut out, to keep and make
- a set of fabrics for you to make a 48cm furoshiki
- basic sewing instructions
- illustrated guide to various wrapping options
The fabrics included in this kit are sourced from our clothing production processes, previously featured in Mrs Woo collections from as far back as 2007.
We've selected distinctive combinations of fabrics for each kit. Select from the colour tone options available - it's easy!
In Japan, cloth wrapping has been used for over 1200 years - initially as a way to protect belongings and then developed over time in different sizes, for many other uses. A small-sized 48cm furoshiki wrapping cloth can be used for enfolding a small gift, shaped into a carry bag or used as a napkin - as some examples.
